This Japanese heirloom traces it's roots back to 1938 in toyohashi, Aichi Perfecture. (Henderson's) Ponderosa was bought to Japan during the Meiji Era (1868-1912) and was selected over years to produce a wonderful large balanced blunt heart shaped tomato. A vigorous plant that produces up to 30LB of fruit per season.
